Spooner teaser - sort of!

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Good news!

I was recently searching the net for new info on the Spooner movie, when I came across the website of cinematographer John Guleserian. I guess he must be working on the Spooner project because, to my surprise and delight, he embedded a video collage of his latest works which included a few scenes from Spooner! Yay :D! Nora is looking so pretty, red lipstick and all… and judging by those few scenes I bet the movie is going to be lots of fun.

To see this almost-an-official-teaser for our long awaited movie, go to: www.johnguleserian.com, then click on the “REEL” link.

Enjoy!

Spooner images

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

As I had promised, I’ve added the Spooner images to the gallery. These photographs by Frank Ishman are truly beautifual and were all taken on the set of the movie — makes me even more curious!

You can find a few thumbnails on the top right corner of this main page. Click on them to see the larger version or go directly to the Gallery to view all of them. Have fun! And let’s keep our eyes peeled for any new information :D

PS: As you can see amongst the thumbnails on the right, I also added a little rare image from old TV show Nora was in called “Septuplets”. Click here for the whole album.

Unveiling the set of Spooner!

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

Hi everyone! This is my first post here and I’m really excited to tell you that I’ve found some beautiful photographs of the Spooner set taken by Frank Ishman. I haven’t yet added them to the gallery but will do that as soon as Sean adjusts my privileges over there–promise ;) Here is a peek to sate your curiosity a little… Doesn’t she look lovely?

Apart from these images I’ve just mentioned, I really can’t find anything else about this mysterious movie! Though I have found a little about the director Drake Doremus at ExecuProv.

Drake Doremus, a graduate of the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, CA, is the youngest Fellow to have been accepted at the highly-lauded institution and the youngest to graduate from there from its director’s program, since the institution’s inception 35 years ago.

Also, on september 16th, Sean posted that Spooner’s status, as seen on IMDB, had changed from post-production to completed. But now it’s back at post-production… So much mystery… Do you know anything else about Spooner? Share it with us at the comments section :D

Catch Remarkable Power! (if you can)

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Another movie of Nora’s which is taking a frustratingly long time to come to theaters is Remarkable Power! What’s more, there’s less buzz for this film than for The Brothers Bloom, which means it may be playing at your local film festival and you wouldn’t even know it!

So, in a follow up to yesterday’s Brothers Bloom post, I present you with the Remarkable Power Watch! An up-to-date listing of all festivals and dates where Remarkable Power is confirmed to be playing. We will be keeping a close eye on the news to find out any more festivals and update the list as they come along. So check back often. If your city has a festival coming up, you may have a chance to see it.

For those who are interested, here’s the trailer:

Catch the Bloom Brothers in a city near you!

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

With the previous announced delay of Rian Johnson’s The Brothers Bloom, many of us wont get to see it now until it is released in January.

Johnson has his reasons for the push-back, but has stated: “I’m going to be doing the rounds at a TON of regional US festivals, I’m hoping to hit nearly every big one that happens between now and the release. So if you live near a big city with a festival, chances are you’ll get a shot at seeing it before January.

So with this in mind, I have created the Brothers Bloom Watch, where you will be able to see which film festivals The Brothers Bloom will be screening at, and plan your attendance if, like me, you can’t wait until January to see it. It will be constantly updated to include all festivals as they are announced, so keep checking back to see if it will be screening in a city near you.
